Taipei-based airline operator China Airlines signed an agreement with the Istanbul based simulator manufacturer SkyArt for the supply and installation of an A321 Neo Extended Door Trainer. The device consists of the main entry door and the overwing exit trainers.

The system will be delivered in May 2021.

Airline companies use different systems to train their cabin crew for emergency readiness. These systems are aircraft type-specific and can scale from hydraulic motion systems to smaller training devices. SkyArt has recently focused on the development of the latest Airbus A321 Neo series trainers.

SkyArt has already delivered similar devices to Lebanon's flag carrier Middle East Airlines (MEA) and Mexican Vivaaerobus, will deliver their fourth device to China Airlines.

In this system, visuals of different scenarios such as landing on water and fire will be projected on a screen when the door is opened using their branded VR technology.
